SAMUEL TODD of Placer County, California to JOHN DIXON of city and county of San Francisco ... for $2000 ... portion of Rancho San Pedro Santa Margarita Y Las Gallinos situated in the county of Marin ... granted by the Mexican nation on or about 14 February 1844 to the late TIMOTHY MURPHY by MANUEL MICHELTORENA Governor of California lying west of the road leading from San Rafael to Sonoma and commencing at the point where the Rancho of DOMINGO SAIS, B. R. BUCKELEW and the late Timothy Murphy touch each other at what is commonly called the Round Hill and running thence by a straight line easterly (or north easterly as the case may be) so as to cross the road aforesaid leading from San Rafael to Sonoma at the point where said road intersected by a small arroyo emptying into the Bay on the south side of the corral in Margarita Valley thence along said road in a southerly direction toward San Rafael to the Northeast corner of SKIDMORE's lot enclosed with a wire fence along the boundary line of COOPER or Buckelew ranch to the point of beginning excepting and reserving therefrom two undivided thirds of all that portion of land lying south of a line commencing at the said Northeast corner of said Skidmores lot thence running in a straight line to the San Rafael spring, thence in a straight line to the top of Round Hill thence along the boundary line of Buckelew Ranch to the point opposite Skidmores said lot and thence to the said corner of said lot ...
