I have for sale a large book, much like a school yearbook for St. Joseph's Hospital of San Francisco. It is titled Golden Jubilee, Fifty Golden Years, 1889-1939.

It has many photos, biographies, letters from prominent city members such as Mayor Angelo J. Rossi, Police Chief Wm J. Quinn, Fire Chief Charles J. Brennan, and many others. It appears to be the history of the hospital, how it started, by whom, etc. It has a padded leather cover and is in excellent condition. It measures 9 by 12 inches and is about 1 inch thick.

I found this info on the internet.....
St. Joseph's Hospital, founded by the Franciscan Sisters in 1889, fell victim to low patient loads and the lack of young ladies who felt a vocation in sisterhood and locked the doors in 1980. Children's Hospital bought title to the beds; the building is now senior housing.

My asking price is dependant upon the means of getting the book to the buyer. If the buyer is in the bay area, I can meet you at the Pittsburg Bart Station and the cost of the book would be $120. If the buyer wants to come out to east Antioch, the price would be $100.

I wish there were a way to post photos of the book and some of the inside pages as it is a wonderful book.
