There is a book on the Lugo Family [1775-1860] by Whitehead, Roy Elmer, 1893-Title Lugo, a chronicle of early California / by Roy Elmer Whitehead. Published Redlands, Calif. : San Bernardino County Museum Association, 1978.

You can check with a local library to see if they have a copy of it. I believe that it contains photos as well. There is a copy of it available at the California State University, Northridge library.
